The number of registered companies in Hong Kong hits a record high, attracting HK$174 billion in investment over six months.

According to reports, Hong Kong Chief Executive John Lee stated on the 10th that as of the end of July, the total number of locally registered companies in Hong Kong exceeded 1.5 million, while the number of non-Hong Kong registered companies surpassed 15,000, both reaching historic highs. From January 2023 to July this year, the Invest Hong Kong agency assisted 1,333 companies in establishing or expanding their businesses in Hong Kong, attracting direct investment of HKD 174 billion in the first year and creating over 19,000 new jobs.
