On August 12, according to reports from [Blockchain Pulse], Argentine blockchain developer "Fede's intern" was briefly detained by the police upon entering Turkey, but has since been released and returned to Europe. He stated that the incident stemmed from a case brought against him by Turkey's Interior Minister, accusing him of assisting others in abusing Ethereum, and being involved with a certain privacy protocol.

The developer claimed that his visit was to promote DeFi projects and wine export cooperation. He emphasized that the team's previous research on a certain privacy protocol only involved de-anonymization analysis and had never participated in illegal activities.

Fede's intern stated that he decided to donate $500,000 to the legal defense of Roman Storm, a co-founder of a certain privacy protocol.
