Strategy, the company founded by Michael Saylor, recorded a historic achievement after their Bitcoin holdings reached a record high value of US$77.2 billion or equivalent to Rp1,200 trillion. This figure far exceeds the previous year's position, which was at the level of US$41.8 billion.
Since early August 2020 until now, the value of BTC held by Strategy has skyrocketed by 307,800%, according to Bitcoin Treasuries, Thursday (14/08). This rapid growth has occurred in just five years, making it one of the largest surges in the global corporate sector.
In its historical records, Strategy noted a Bitcoin portfolio value of US$2.1 billion at the end of 2020, US$5.7 billion in 2021, US$2.2 billion in 2022, and US$8 billion in 2023. The year 2024 is set to be a major resurgence before reaching its peak in 2025.
If this growth rate continues, a number of analysts believe that Strategy could potentially have the largest balance sheet in the world within the next five years. This also positions the company as a symbol of the success of aggressive investment strategies in the digital asset era.
